Default LS1 shortblock (stock), heads, T-56

I have for sale a complete LS1 shortblock (Block, crank rods, pistons) that I need to move ASAP. It will need new pistons. I bought it to use but the previous owner overlifted the valves and hit all 8 pistons. The block itself is in very good condition, no grooves in the cylinder wall, all wear looks good. Motor has 36,000 on it. I'd like to get $500 + shipping for everything, buyer pays actual shipping not a penny more. I will part it out if anyone wants specific parts but the best deal will be for the whole thing.

Also have a set of 853 heads with 2.02I 1.60E valves in it, port appears to be stock, valve spring are stock. I'll include a set of Rockers and valve covers (center bolt) for $250 + shipping. Heads have not been inspected but I could pull the valves and see how they look. Pics available on request.

Also have a T-56 from the above mentioned engine with 36,000 miles on it. It is in working order according to the last owner although I have not pulled it apart. Good for a spare or a core, includes bellhousing. $500 + shipping.

Any takers can E-mail me at NickBrehm@msn.com

What year, what is the casting # from the rear/L. hand side, and was this ever a PA motor?

If you mean PA motor as in Pennsylvania then no, it is a motor from NY. I will get the casting # for you, it is a 99 block out of a WS6. Let me get back to you.

T-56 is on hold, looks to be sold. I wouldn't go less then the $500 anyway. The pistons would probably be useable for a street car, I wouldn't race it though. Each one has a notch about 3/4" long and less then a 1/4" deep where the intake valve hit it. The piston is intact and the shortblock functions. It is 100% intact. I never went any farther then taking off the oil pan to check it.
