No line down the middle, it's the real smooth cowl. If you go on VFN's website, look for the Sonoco style cowl hood for 98-02 camaros

damn....that's the hood i'm looking for but was going to get it pin on....how heavy is the fiberglass bolt on? i'll be in houston in a few weeks. to pick up my motor at HPE
