Default For sale: Complete(almost) LS1 motor, 6 speed, computer/harness

I know this isn't a classified forum, but it's probably the best place to move something like this.

The motor(running) is out of a '98 T/A that had about 80K on it. The T56 needs a clutch, but the shifter is included. I have the computer and harness to go with it. No TB or MAF, and you'll need injectors if I can't find the ones I had for it. I've had the intake and fuel rails off, but they're included.

This motor/tranny/etc. was bought by a customer of mine who I was going to put it in an old Impala for - but changed his mind. The oil pan was notched to fit an older Chevy - or a Fox body Mustang. That was done by Street & Performance, and it looks stock. Cost me $300 too.

I've had the motor for over a year, and it's now in my garage. The owner is letting me sell it - and I want it gone.

$3000 OBO for everything. I really don't want to seperate the two, unless I have two for-sure buyers.

Oh, and you get a free engine stand with it.

I would really prefer local pick up. However, I could look into shipping it, but just thinking about it sounds like a pain...

Thanks!

Lane

I'll consider ANY serious - cash in hand - offer. Don't be afraid to low ball me - you won't hurt my feelings. I may not take it, but I won't be offended.

I know i am interested but i wont have the money until the end of summer! (Considering you wanted cash in hand i don't quallify!) But since you are missing the Throttle Body, Fuel injectors, and Mass air flow i would look at bringing the price down to about $2,500 to $2800! TB are about $300 plus install, fuel injectors are some where around there too plus install, and MAF's are about $200! Thats about $1000 if you have to have someone else install the TB and FI!

Just a FYI, I bought my '00 Ls1, T-56, and harness, basically everything except bolts and coil packs for $3k.

Hope that helps you understand why he said you should bring the price down.

With the LS2, etc out now, the price of LS1s are falling, especially the 98 model.

If you don't like the price, please stay out of the thread. You don't have to buy it.

Lane - We usually let threads like this stay as there are lots of people looking for motor & tranny combos.

Make me an offer!

I've bought TB's and MAF's for $60-$70 each. I do have a couple laying around I could throw into the deal. I also found the injectors.

Make an offer, I'll probably take it. After all, it isn't my motor - I'm selling it for someone.

I realized that - no biggie. I've bought and sold 5 or 6 LS1's, and watch ebay, etc. daily. I know there's cheap deals out there. This could be one of them if someone has the money in hand. Cash talks!

$3000 is a VERY fair deal

I paid $3000 for my LS1/T56 combo, plus I had to rent a truck and drive to Galveston from DFW to pick it up!!!

LMAO at the guy needing a MAF and TB "installed"

Well, there's no 'swap' in the deal - but I still have the motor/tranny/cpu/harness for sale.
