Bare 243 Castings - LS6 heads SOLD!
HEADS ARE SOLD!
I've got a set of bare 243 castings I bought last September up for sale.
The heads were brand new and untouched when I bought them with hopes of having a friend of mine that attended the School of Automotive Machinist in Houston hand port them for me.
The heads have one intake port, valve job, and combustion chamber worked (numbers are available if asked for), and another intake port started.
Due to a busy schedule (race season again), the heads will not be ready for a few months (I'm tired of waiting and ready to get going on a heads/cam setup!)
This is my reason for selling, the heads are in great shape and can easily be finished out (probably even improved on). The valve job is set up for stock ls6 valve size (2.00/1.56), however I had planned on running bigger valves in them eventually.
These need to go, I'll take $400 (plus shipping) Would make a great project for someone wanting to port their own or good cores to have ported!!

ported ports from the intake side...
and untouched...
The other unported 'as cast' head...

On the first intake port (leftmost) I remember 207 cfm @.300 lift, and 304 cfm @ .600. He moved on to the next port to try his luck with a couple slightly different tactics and I think he upped the midflow slightly, like 210 cfm @.300, but the top came down to right 300 cfm. These were going on a street car so he was aiming more for really good numbers in the .300-.400 lift range. I can get exact numbers from him if you want more specific. Also stone stock they hit right around 260 cfm when fitted with a 2.02 intake valve (stock heads with the 2.00 valve job). So these numbers might be slightly higher with the stock 2" valve.

Thats not water jacket, thats where the bump comes down into the intake port of the rocker stud that has been smoothed out. Attached are pics that show this better...
