Just pulled my motor and trans out of the car, Motors in the shop getting some love. Good time for me to swap to a TH400, The T56 was rebuilt 7 months ago. It cost me $2200 for the rebuild and clutch kit. I had new 1/2 and 3/4 syncro assemblies put in, the 3/4 shift fork was upgraded to a steel one and a billet 3/4 key was put in. At the the same time I replaced the clutch with a Z06 clutch kit. Since the rebuild I put approx 4000 miles on the car and has only seen the track 2 times.

Included is:
T56 with LS1 bellhousing
Z06 clutch [LS6 pressure plate/disc and flywheel]
02 gm slave cylinder
GM performance Adj. master cylinder with drill mod
T56 trans crossmember
B&M Ripper short throw shifter
B&M shift ****
Shifter boot
All sensors on trans

How come the rebuild was so expensive? Who did the work? how does it shift?

 

I have a GM tech do the rebuild and by the time I bought the new slave, Adj. master cylinder, Z06 clutch kit, and the upgrade parts it wasn't cheap. The trans still shifts great. I want to spray the new motor with a 300 shot so it's time to go to a auto.

 

Not willing to ship it? (at buyer's expense obviously) ?? You've got the setup I'm looking for (even the shifter and clutch!)
