I ordered a 4L80E from Gearstar with the best of everything, including the electronic controller, billet main shaft, hub etc... This is a level 4 trans capable of supporting 1200hp+. It also has a multi disc Yank 3600 converter, BMR conversion crossmember & gearstar supplied trans cooller and comes with a full 2 year warranty. YOU WANT THE BEST TRANSE MONEY CAN BUY? THIS IS IT!!
It can be installed in any F-BODY, TRUCK OR CUSTOM HOTROD, as the trans computer is a stand alone unit programmable for what ever you want it to do. Gearstar sells this complete unit for 6500.00 shipped and it is hands down the best overdrive trans available period. Everything is brand new in the crate I received it in including all of the computer instructions and all nuts bolts hardware etc.. The trans is shipped with fluid from gearstar and is basically ready to go. The only thing it needs is the fluid lines connected or made and the dipstick (which I have the gm part number for)
I bought this assembly thinking I really wanted to keep my car as streetable as possible for long distance trips but have realized I dont need to do that. If you live in the south east US( Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, N or S carolina, Alabama, Mississippi or Florida) I will deliver the trans once we make a deal. If you live outside of the southeast we will have to make some shipping arrangements because this unit must be shipped via truck freight. Im looking to sell the complete assembly for 5500.00 delivered to your door in the southeast. If you are outside of the southeast I will cover some/most/all of the freight if reasonable.
I need to sell this ASAP.

Well im actually on the fence now between keeping the 4L80E and trading Gearstar for 1 of their level IV TH400 with a brake and RMV. Gearstar made me a fair deal to return the 80E for exchange towards the 400 but Im kinda thinking I might want the 80E in the future and since the $$$ is already spent I should just keep it. There are many advantages with both tranys and since I still mostly street race most of the 400 advantages go out the window. Im always changing my mind with my car projects so who knows? I have a tech call scheduled w/ Compushift, The manufacturer of the trans computer, tomorrow and after that I will make my decision. There are some special controls I need to determine if I can modify their controller for and If they give me the answers I want then the 80E gets installed. Ill post tomorrow with my decision.
