Default SLP y-pipe for '01-'02 f-body

SOLD ...

I have a stainless steel SLP y-pipe for '01-'02 f-body for sale. This is a total bolt-on with no welding required on a stock car with manifolds. In good shape. Its still on my Firehawk but I can get pictures if wanted.

I purchased a set of headers and no longer need it.

Looking for $140 +shipping OBO

Thanks

T-hawk

I will take some pics tonight. It bolts straight to the factory cats (which are bolted to the manifolds).

Why not leave that on with headers?

Depends on the header type he's purchased.
If he's gone to long tubes, the stock y or the SLP y will not work.

Like Pontiac Fan said, unless you go to a shorty header that bolts straight to the factory cats then you will have to change to an aftermarket y-pipe. I bought a set of long tubes and they have a specific y-pipe for them.

Once again this is a straight bolt on to a '01-'02 car with stock manifolds, cats, and ANY cat-back that bolted to the stock y-pipe (I have had this hooked to both my stock cat-back and my current aftermarket cat-back with no issues). This is SLP P/N 31035 for reference and a picture of what it looks like.

Firebirdpl, best guess on shipping is going to be $15-$20 depending on the actual weight of the package (UPS said $17 when I estimated 25 lbs which is probably pretty close)

I will have pictures tomorrow...

If I have done this correctly, here are some pictures of the y-pipe. I don't intend to take it off the car until I have a buyer (or I get off my lazy butt and install my headers).

There is a picture from the drivers side, passenger side, from the front, and then two shots of the lowest point on the y-pipe (drivers side) and the little bit of scratches on it and one small ding that I saw (didn't even show in the picture). These are only cosmetic (no dent).

Let me know,

Firebirdpl,

I talked to SLP directly and asked about fitment on a convertable and this is what I was told. If you do NOT have the cross brace under you car then it will bolt on just fine. I was also told that MOST manual transmission cars do not have this brace, but that all automatic transmission cars do... the best thing to do is physically look under your car for the cross brace.

However, even if you have the cross brace, the guy from SLP said that it MIGHT fit... but could not be sure.

If you have the cross brace then its your call man. I know that on most of the 3" y-pipes I have seen for use with LT headers there is at least some factory "denting" of the pipe to clear the underside of the car. So long as you didn't have to beat the crap out of the pipe and flatten it (like the factory y-pipe), it should still be an improvement over stock. But its your call.

Let me know if you still are interested.

I'm not planning on selling the stock exhaust (or cats) when I put my headers on just the SLP y-pipe. I want to have the option to put my Firehawk back to stock if I ever want to sell it. Firehawk buyers are weird about mods...

I believe that PontiacFan is right, you got the two of us confused.

I bought this one new and as I explained before am only selling it since I not longer will need it with the LT headers I am installing.

But I appreciate the free bumps
