now whats the deal with the 5.3 heads. I got a lt1 but my buddy has a ls1 and im asking for him. Hes got a '02 trans am. What does bolting on 5.3l heads on a stock ls1 do? Bump compression or what? Flow better for being truck heads?

bumps compression a bit, stock truck heads dont flow too great but these are ported pretty well to flow better than stock ls1 heads + the bumped compression

The heads are fairly low milage, a friend i ride with works at a machine shop and he did 'em for me. i bought these thinking they were 706 castings would keep 'em but they arent the 5.3 castings i was wanting, so im selling these to fund the p&p job on the 706s i just bought.

Also just to add, i have a set of rockers and stock 5.3 springs FS now that came off of my 706 heads. Make an offer.

What machine shop did the cnc work?? I need to know for intake/exhaust runner size. I'm very interested in these. What size valves do they take and at what angle is the valve job and who did the valve job. They looked decked, what size chamber do they have?? How big of a cam can I run with these.

Thanks

I think I can help answer a few questions on these heads.

They are fully cnc ported 5.3l castings
They feature 227cc runners, completely cnc'd chambers & were skillfully cut on our Newen seat & guide machine by these upstanding gentlemen prior to them conveniently disappearing from our shop.

Yes 5.3l castings which were purchased over a month ago from a member of these very boards. Which is of little difference, as i have all reciepts and paypal transactions of the head purchase from the first of October. This thread can be closed, moved, or deleted by the mods untill this whole situation is cleared.
