I am selling a Comp Cam 228/232 .588/.595 111+1 This cam has the XE-R lobes. The cam has 600 miles on it. The cam was bought at TSP. The reason I am selling it is that it shook my car at idle which I wasn't planning on. The cam has good street manners and pulls like crazy. I like the way the cam sounds but I don't want the shaking so I pulled it out.
Selling Price: $275 plus $15 shipping. Total of $290
I have the original Comp Cam box that it came in that has the specs on the end of the box. The cam card is still in the original plastic along with Comp Cam decals and registration card.

Larry, I think it will fit but to be on the safe side, I would call TSP and talk to either Jon or Zach and tell them that this is the cam out of Bill Hawkins yellow Vette as they are both familiar with it. Thanks, Bill

Solobaric, I installed this cam, PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L heads from TSP, American Racing headers with high flow cats, underdrive pulley, Shaner ported TB, LS2 timing chain, .045 Cometic head gaskets, and a LS6 ported oil pump.
Before dyno was 306 rwhp and 321 rwtq.
After dyno was 431 rwhp and 400 rwtq.
The dyno graph is in the dyno section titled: PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L 228 Camshaft Results and it was posted by Jason from TSP
This cam should fit with stock heads as TSP's Torquer 2 and MS3 clears and this cam is a little smaller than those 2. You will need different valve springs and pushrods.
TSP's website shows for 228 duration cams, horsepower gains of 40hp.
This cam is very streetable. I could run 1400 rpm in 6th gear with a 3.42 rear end.
