What's it take to run this tranny in an f-body? Do you have to get BS3 to run it?

 

I believe you ran get a 99+ PCM tuned for it. I know the 98 PCM wont work with it hence why ws6reaper had the BS3 im assuming. Hope this helps. If worse comes to worse, you can ship that tranny over here

 

Converter was sold and picked up already. Yea thats why I had the BS3, and I believe superman is correct on getting the 99+ PCM tuned for it. Im open to offers, but Im prolly not going down that much on this tranny.

Its a very good deal for sure and there are a ton of people who want it here, but the reality on this forum is that 99% of those who want it just don't have the $ and can't afford to buy this high of a ticket item. Try the corvette forum for sale section as those older vette guys have the $ for something like this and best of luck to you and you can can put a post in the for sale section there and try one in the C5 F/I section!

Interested - send me a PM as I am located in Staten Island. This is an LS2 block, correct? Was it punched out or sleeved and punched out? How is such a small cube motor capable of 1000hp? You talking with major boost?

 

It's a turbo motor, yes it could easily make 1000hp with boost. It's really a good deal, but not for my car with a S/C. I did some figuring and the compression is somewhere between 8.4 and 8.6:1.

 

thanks SS1, yea it was built for my twin turbo kit in mind, thats where the big power was going to come from. Everything is on the paperwork, I know its an LS2 block though.
