Enlighten me, do these fit directly in the sail panels or is there modifications required?

They fit right in, no modification. You do need to use self starting screws for 2 of the holes though, as with most of these midbass replacements the factory holes are a little off on 2 of them.

factory subs are 4 ohms how do these sound? and how much will a 2nd cost me?

Factory subs in Camaro's are 2ohms, the Firebird's are 4. As fas as sound goes they are far superior to stock; louder, clearer, and more bass. At first I wasn't sure if I liked them but after they started breaking in they sounded great. I will let you have this one for 60 shipped, the other you can find for a little over 70, I can tell you where if you want to PM me.
