Guys, nothing is for sale until the motor goes, including the car. Please don't PM me asking for a $2k rolling chasis when all I need to do is drop a crate motor in it and have a brand new 02 SS 1LE on my hands. This car is show room, not some gutted tin can.

Definately be interested to see what these go for on ebay. Been in the "hot roding" hobby for two decades from both sides of the industry, and the traditional rule of thumb is that once a part leaves the manufacturer, it's now worth half what you paid for it (maybe 60% if it's obviously brand new first rate stuff). This is my first time browsing this part of the forum, and I've noticed everyone seems to want 90% of what they paid for the parts. More power to you if you can get it. Stuff is always worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

I'll be really interested to see how much it goes for.

That is interesting but on BRAND NEW stuff, not likely to see it go for 50%- 60% less cost of new on this forum or any other I know of, not unless it is some outdated POS or someone is really hard up. There is a little something called supply and demand that really dictates what something is worth and right now LS stuff is VERY popular. It is just alot of people on this site don't have any money apparantly.

Let's take a few items such as Procharger set-up for an LS1, or ETP heads, or an LSX block, all of these items would sell for an easy 75% of their NEW cost even on this tight *** forum. lol

Now take stuff that has been built already such as a transmission or an engine and any knowledgeable individual knows these items aren't Brand New in the box, someone has worked with the parts. You cannot be assured there aren't defects, crossthreaded bolt holes, improperly machined surfaces, etc, etc. You have to be a little skeptical to say the least. Not to say what this individual has is not worth what he is asking. It takes time to sell something like this, it is kind of unique, it has to fit someones interest or budget first.

I highly doubt it sells. I would have to take a major cut to get rid of it, and I'm not willing to do that. Even though it is a top notch motor built by a very respected builder from this sight, it's uniqueness is what's killing me. If it were built with standard valve spacing on the piston reliefs, I could sell the short and the heads seperate, which would bring the price into grasp for someone. I was hoping having such a nice set-up on hand with no wait would help, but it doesn't seem to be. It took me a year to get this motor together with cash in hand. The wait was just that long for parts. There were many times I would have kicked in a extra grand or so just to have it finished in a timely manner. I'm still hoping that one person that was fixing to drop the bank on a crate LS7 stumbles along this and realizes what he could have for less......
