I'm not so sure that's true, there seems to be some that are okay with the 44.25 and others who claim to have vibrations that disappear with the longer 45.25 shaft. Bob from EPP runs the 44.25 in his 9 second car and wasn't having any issues with it. Measure from the back of the tranny to the middle of the yoke on the rearend and you will have your answer.

Yes, it was intended for a Moser 9", it can be used with a 12 bolt and a stock 10 bolt if conversion u-joint is used.
