I almost dread saying that I replaced it with the MSD unit. But, I bought the damn thing before I heard all this bad ****. I assumed (wrong might I ad) that when everyone else was upgrading the ignition they changed the opti over. I looked at another GM one, the Accel unit (that I couldnt find for a spline drive), and the MSD. I know, I know now that I have the feedback from all the much wiser LTX guys I'll know not to do that again if I can just go with an OEM. But I will say it is running a HELLUVA lot better.
Ran 11.89 in it with two broken valve springs (found out later)
The new ones is all forged, filled and studded.
The block is actually the only original part, and it's been decked and bored LOL

I probably wouldn't go trying that on rings and bearings that have 180K and questionable service histories though.

That's the thing I was worried about, questionable service history! This individual made one huge **** up that I'm trying to fix now, are you ready for this one? NO O2 SENSORS!! The car is running like ***!! On that note what kind of chaos would that cause me?
