Maybe for the hood latch release. Looks like a throttle cable or e-brake cable adapter of some sort..

It's got a long black cable connecting to it, that connects it to this harness-like thing on the right side of the engine compartment.

there should be 3 of those wires 2 goes to the throttle body and the other goes to the hood latch ! I was just under my car and I'd swear i saw something like that bolted under the car near the center !

Yeah man, i'm not entirely sure. I'm thinking its the TB cable from the original TB. I'll take some better pictures tomorrow. I also found an aftermarket alarm installed on there while I was snooping around. It's not active, which is why my clicker isn't working.

WTF GUYS! Man, I’m feeling old!

This is a hood lock cable from Wolo. It mounts on the radiator support and the sliding pin would go through a hole in a bracket bolted to the hood. On the other end of the cable, there’s a circular key cylinder that slides the cable. Also in the key end was a pair of wires on contacts that was an ignition kill. First made in 1965.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like you know your stuff.

The car does have an aftermarket hood, so that would probably explain it. It's a suncoast ram air hood. What are your thoughts on that hood you guys?

hook looks decent, im more a fan of the WS6 hood for LT1 TA's but then again you dont want to be making a clone or anything god forbid you did that you might get shot by someone who paid soo much for their real WS6.
