My 95's 4l60e lasted for years on an H/C car with 3.73s and DRs,
It died along with the rest of the car in a fire in 2001.
The tranny had a Transgo kit in it.
My 92's 700R4 lost 4th gear around 187000 miles, it was a bolt-on car.
I had it rebuilt and it ran just fine when I sold the car at 208000 miles.
Car never saw the track, but it was a DD for about 4 years.
My 93 still has the stock 4L60 at 60000 miles with a Transgo shift kit, 4000 stall, 3.73s and DRs.
Pull 1.5xx 60fts and plenty of road trips. Has not has an issue yet.
(Other than a few broken tranny mounts )
