I would say just a few MPG most.
When I did the 3.73s I could barely tell the diff. over 3.42s, yes it was alittle more snappy but not what i wanted and I was never satisfied. I know better this time around.
A4 is a diffrent story 4.10s will suck gas pretty good.

the last time i went on a long trip i managed to pull off 29.5 mpg(432miles traveled to 1 tank) with the 3.42 gear. since that time i added Lt's,true duals,cai,tune,plugs,wires,4.10s so i would guess using 6th gear more often i most likely lost 1.5mpg WELL WORTH THE SACRIFICE!!!!
i love video w/audio get to hear THEM DUALS from the outside

i am for sure low 13s will happen even at the altitude i am at. i did notice my car was running good but something just did not feel right found this today
fortunately i have 16 left overs well 15 now!
my buddy had a 94 z28 coupe,m6.mods were:
stock unopened Lt1 78k
Jet Hot Lts
3" Y-pipe cut-out
k&n cai,small pooper scooper underneath
52mm tb
added a vented opti and dowel pin
new timing chain
autozone clutch (LOL lifetime warranty)
madtuner cheap tune(100.00)
3.73s
nitto DRs 245/50/16
ripper shifter
ran 13.3s 1.9 60' NA and 11.3 on a 150 shot, got greedy and put 175 pills in there(against my advise!) stock fuel pump Motor went

elite what is the DA there. I lived in phoenix for four years and it was like 125 degrees and i forget the altitude i know it aint low i wanna say 2000 - 3000 feet. Now i am in florida tons of humidity but gainesville raceway is like sea level.

To be honest,my silver car is my every day driver. The 4.10s make the car way more efficient, when you leave from a stop light the car is gone compared to the 3.42s.......I run on c6 285/35/19s and of course they tame the gear down a bit. My next track visit will be on stock size 245/50/16 DRs.
Generally you will spend 180.00 on the gear and 200.00-300.00 for the instal,so when you begin to look at the dollar to performance aspect it is the same as adding Longtubes and Y-pipe. you will not regret this mod!!!!

how do i find out what the DA is i never checked that

hows the mpg gallon though? i currently have an a4 with stock 2.73 gears and i do about 20-21 mpg with mixed driving. so im wondering with the six speed where im gonna be at. That mpg is also with very delicate driving. mostly freeway and about 10-12 miles a day city driving.
look up a DA calculator...usually altitute, dew point, barometric pressure, and temp are taken into effect. Your gonna have to find a weather site that will give you that info
