4.10s in an a4 is harsh but if its only track driven then by all means you cant go wrong. 4.10s on the highway you must be doing over 3k at 65-70mph. whats the fun in that when your filling up at the gas station all the time.
i know in my dads a4 we put in a 3.42 rear and were spinning about 2300-2500 at a 65-70mph and it eats gas. anything over 2k on the highway forget about 20+mpg highway.

I figured i would update this post a bit
I did go out on some wornout DRs (315s on 17x11s)thanks MAC
the DA was 3004'
3k launch,hooked hard enuff to make it feel like the rear end was under my seat then bogged extremely hard so i floored the throttle attempting to save the launch then the clutch slipped baaad

I have 4.1 in my car but fairly short tires (25.6) and IIRC about 2200 rpm at 70 mph with a 700r4. Go to Bowtie for a tire, gear, trans ratio, speed calculator. I don't remember the rpms, I should refresh myself since I melted the speedo cable on the headers some time ago.
It's kinda ironic that the Camaro guys want 4.1s and us V8RX7 forum people are changing complete rear end setups and housings to get the higher gears. But then again there is a more or less 500# difference in car weight.
