What do you mean by a tight LSA?

Well under 110*

LSA - Lobe Separation Angle
Tighter angles (lower number) will yield more "chop" from both valves being partially open at the same time.
Typically a good choice for N/A cars, sacrifice a little idle quality for top end power.

So it just helps draw air in on naturally aspirated engines? correct?

I did 1.6's on a stock TPI and it was like a different motor. I was amazed and no joke it took about 4/10's off my quarter when coupled with a shift kit. Now on an LT1 my friend did it to his 94 6-speed and it helped out on the high end. I would say they're good for about 10 horse. Decent mod, pretty cheap too.

Thats pretty good to me for a small price. I have a auto though, so Im hoping for a little help through this with my cam.

Whats the gain with 1.7s on a stock cam?
I switched from 1.6 s/a Promags to Scorpion 1.7 nsa earlier this year. My car dyno'd 299 rwhp 330 tq and ran a best of 12.97 with 1.6's. After the swap it dyno'd 309 rwhp 336 tq and ran a best of 12.86. Stock heads and cam.

No because i went straight to a 383 when I did cam and valvetrain. I ran the stock motor procharged for about 6500mi, then it popped a headgasket from a mail order tune. It was not the tune that was the problem, I got someone elses tune in the mail. But that's a whole other story lol. 1.6's should give you 5-10whp gain over 1.5's and the 1.7's should give around 10-15whp over 1.5's

rockers do not change for cubic inch. they will pretty much be the same no matter what the engine is.

rockers do not change for cubic inch. they will pretty much be the same no matter what the engine is.
I know that my man I was just woundering how he like rockers on a stroker engine?

This sounds like a nice mod to do if you dont have a cam swap for the plans. With a 1.6 or 1.7 rr would it be a good idea to change valve springs? and if so does anyone have a set in mind?

you definately want to change valvesprings since the factory springs are sorry! 85psi when new, now up to 13yrs old

Thas what I figured, mine car only has 50k miles on it but I know the stock springs are pretty weak, even for the stock cam. What aftermarket springs do you recommend?
