We had done std. LS1 valves in these heads way back and the heads where on the car still when I purchased it. I was doing this build on a major budget, but still wanted to see some gains obviously. The valves where available and are much lighter as mentioned so I used them + had some further port work updating done.

I was not looking for some killer motor here, but something really bullet proof that ran hard, but can be driven.

again I know I left some on the table with these valves, but it making good power and I have no complaints

We did not finish the tune today, so it's hard to say if I gave up anything going back to the stock MAF. I have heard 2-5 HP on setups like mine before, but preliminary results show that it maybe more.

I scaled my old H/C #'s with these today and seen some very killer results

up 80+ rwtq around 4200 rpm

up 100+ rwhp around 4200 rpm

I will post final results tomorrow morning.

BTW : BadHawk gave me the hook up on the short and made this possible. BIG Thanks man

nope...these where done by our other machinist.

We are finishing the tune this morning. I am thinking the stock MAF may cost me a little power, so 450ish rwhp is what I'm guessing.

results soon

You wouldn't happen to have a part number for your Magnaflow 4" muffler would you? I just received my 4" Mufflex yesterday and possibly may change out the muffler for a Magnaflow as well in the future. Thanks!

could bigger valves, better heads & intake make more power? SURE! I'm not 1 bit unhappy with the setup as is though.

I will update the heads if I ever go with a single plane intake, dist. and stand alone.
To bad I sold the Bret Bauer ProRam intake, would have liked to see if it would have worked on a real motor (yours).

yeh..that may have showed some gains.

results are in and it looks like the 85mm MAF is worth a little HP

The car made as much as 449 rwhp yesterday, but it was leaner then we wanted to see and the MAF was fighting us. We have the stocker on it now and I'm still very happy with the results.

v's old stock short with same heads/intake

With that 4" Muffler can you tell me if you want the oval or round. I could possibly help you out here and give you the proper part number.

Larry I like the looks of your torque curve compared to mine. Comes on a lot sooner that thing should leave hard unlike my turd. I guess those few extra cubes don't hurt either.

I'd take the round but the oval would be fine as well. I'm not picky. Thanks!
