Default keyless entry problem...help

ok guys, before i bought my new keyless entry remotes i tested the the keyless entry module by jumping the A and G ports on the DLC. The locked cycled and evey thing worked. I got my remotes in today, and i go to jump the A and G ports and nothing happens. What the hell?? So, do i need to reset the PCM before i the keyless entry module will go into pairing mode or what. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
