Those are some awesome gains with the cutout. I've been debating putting one on my car and if I saw gains anywhere near that, it would be totally worth it.

So wait, this was all done on a stock displacement/shortblock LT1?

Anyone mind PMing me a # on the install/build cost? Or even just the install end of things?

.....most days I wonder why I ever even thought of messing with my mustang. I'm embarassed to even tell what my h/c/i 5.0 put out

413 though an S60 ? That's amazing.
It's too bad we don't have accurate numbers of S60 VS 10bolt (somehow, I don't see him GAINING power from the swap)

Great work on the install and thank you for keeping us all up to date.
It's insight into the process that many of the board members never get to experience.

Thanks for doing the open/close compare as well
My old cutout only had a 10rwhp/7rwtq difference .. and closed actually lost power VS no cutout at all.
That was on a 3" hooker setup.

Can't wait to see some track number AC

I think once they got the opti working it was 410 thru the 10 bolt and 413 thru the S60 w/cut out open.

Heres the stock 10 bolt vs S60 with cut out closed dyno
It only lost 13.57 rwhp and 12.38 Rwtq

then it picked up all the losses plus some with the cut out open

Heh...Well, I'd upload my dynosheet but I'm at work. But it's not like these are #'s I'd like to make up lol.

I made 296rwhp and 315rwtq on a Mustang dyno. FWIW the pushrods I were running were .10 too long, so I they ended up stopping the pull due to valvetrain issues at 5700. It's not much of an excuse, but I might have at least eeked the 300rwhp mark.

The BS part is that my parts list doesn't exactly suck. I have really good heads and supporting mods. My intake is a tad restrictive being a non RPM style (Edelbrock), but nothing I'd guess give or take 10hp. It does make great tq on the street though.

Basically I was going to add a vortec s-trim at 10-12psi and see how that does. It should put me @ 420rwhp.....but it still bugs me needing a power adder to do so.

At least it's pretty lol

It sure is pretty for the wrong kind of car LOL!
Yeah I could never buy a stang since you basically need to go FI to run with F-bodies!! Not terrible for a mustang dyno!!!! Send those heads and intake to a well known porter!
Im running a stock intake and heads touched by the magic of LE!! LE Custom Cam and all the supporting mods tuned and put toghether by Speedinc!!!

Thanks again Larry!!!!!

Not bad at all if I say so myself!! Especially with a S60. With the 10 bolt would have been more like 425+/370+. Im more than happy!!
