hha this is crazy iirc you put down 280/310ish with just a catback and i did 282/315 with just headers

now you do 410/362 with H/C and i made 415/368 with my H/C setup

That is actually quite impressive man.
As much as I love the S60, I was thinking it would cost you more than that.

Sounds like the cutout helped a lot too, you might want to consider
a dual setup as a winter project. I bet there's more power in there.

I made 296rwhp and 315rwtq on a Mustang dyno. FWIW the pushrods I were running were .10 too long, so I they ended up stopping the pull due to valvetrain issues at 5700. It's not much of an excuse, but I might have at least eeked the 300rwhp mark.

The BS part is that my parts list doesn't exactly suck. I have really good heads and supporting mods. My intake is a tad restrictive being a non RPM style (Edelbrock), but nothing I'd guess give or take 10hp. It does make great tq on the street though.

Basically I was going to add a vortec s-trim at 10-12psi and see how that does. It should put me @ 420rwhp.....but it still bugs me needing a power adder to do so.

At least it's pretty lol

I love you car man. nice pony you got there

HMMM! It was 280/317 with the cat back and now 413.6/366 with the S60
410/362 was b4 the S60 and cut out.
Who did your heads and what cam do you have in there?
Damn I need to find a couple more poniesLOL! James looks like that true dual suggestion is looking pretty good LOL!

In the April 2008 issue, GMHTP swapped in and compared the S60 to the stock 3.42 10-bolt. Dyno numbers went from 412.5 / 390.0 to 397.9 / 376.0 (-14.6 HP / -14.0 TQ, 3.5% / 3.6% loss). Sounds right on.

I have the B&B TriFlo as well and always thought that it flowed well. Looks like a cutout may be in my near future as well with those results.

My car made good HP and TQ with the B&B and proved it at the track. I just think this combo is way to much for one.

I suspect that we will see more S60s in the next few years as people abandon their 9"s
(That's my personal opinion, feel free to bring this thread back to life in 3 years and flame me)

RSbeast, that's a great looking mustang you got there! Should be an animal with the blower! I'm sure it's plenty fun as it sits

From what I've seen people tend to over estimate the power they will lose by going with an aftermarket rears. Definitely a good way to go about it so that you have a much better chance of being pleasantly suprised instead of disappointed.

It is not an apples to apples comparison.

You used some pretty good parts for the build, but very MILD parts.
The AFR165s are a great head that flow very well for very small 165cc ports.

They can not be compared to a stock LT1 casting that has been ported by a pro like AI or Lloyd. The ported LT1 castings usually have a 200 or larger CC port that flow as good as the AFR195s. Add 50 more cubes and a very short runner intake into the mix with quite a bit larger cam and it is a given that the H/C/I lt1 would make more power.

His setup would compare more to a 347 or a 351 with AFR205s, a Custom cam 232/236 .600/.600 110lsa cam, with a Trick Flow Box intake.

I had a fox coupe that I did a similar build to yours. It was a 331 that had afr165s, Cobra intake, and an E303. I never had it on a dyno in that trim, but I bet it barely made 300 whp. On 17" Cobra Rs it ran a 13.1 @ 109. I slapped stock pullied S -Trim on it and it made 485/481. With a slipping clutch and a weak 1.8 60 Ft it did an 11.6 @ 126. I wish that I took it back to the track on slicks with the spec3. I am pretty sure it would have went a 10.8 @ 128

Get the S-Trim (a V2 SQ would be preffered due to a slightly better step up ratio)

BTW, that is a nice SN95.

O.K Back on topic
