I have the B&B TriFlo as well and always thought that it flowed well. Looks like a cutout may be in my near future as well with those results.
I must have missed that..good info. I will put a cutout down for your next visit Joe which should show some gains especially on the gun.

Mine install seems to be going o.k. It looks like I will be doing the obd2 - obd1 switcheroo for programming reasons.

Where did you put the cutout at in the exhaust system?

Sounds like a plan Larry. I will be up in the spring with the slicks on.

As far as weight, according to GMHTP, the dry weight of the stock 10-bolt was 154.6 lbs compared to the dry weight of the S60 of 222.8 lbs (+68.2 lbs).

68.2 - 25 = 43.2lbs

so the 12 bolt is 43.2lbs heavier then the 10 bolt?

what is the lightest (strong) rear end option?

you know us low HP guys scrouging for every ounce

I'd say a fabricated 9" with a chromemoly housing/aluminum center section/spool would probably be substantially lighter than a stock 10 bolt.

Light and easy to find parts for.
Problem is that that particular design tends to have pretty significant drivetrain losses.
(Ask anyone who's dynoed with a 9" rear LOL)

In the same article, GMHTP swapped in the new M9 (3.70 gear) into another car.

Dyno numbers went from 441.2 / 432.3 to 436.6 / 428.6 (-4.6 HP / -3.7 TQ, 1.0% / 0.9 % loss) compared to the stock 3.42 10-bolt.

Dry weight of the M9 was 205.6 lbs (+51.0 lbs over the 10-bolt).

The S60 had a 3.73 gear.
