Installing the rag joint eliminator...
INCREDIBLE difference. It feels "fun" to drive the car again. And props to Unbalanced Engineering for super fast shipping and great customer service.

It's sad I know, but it took me nearly all day to get it installed. Mainly because I didn't have the right tools in my garage and I had to run down to the local hardware store twice. If you do it, make sure you have proper drilling equipment. I used a 7 amp hammer-drill, two cobalt bits, a hacksaw, a dremel, about 4 cut-off wheels, and a six-pack of Sierra Nevada
. The rivets wouldn't "tap out" for me unless I had 95% of them already drilled out (I called them "Satan's Rivets"
). Other than that, it's a fairly easy mod. Two bolts and the thing's pratically off the car, in your vice, and painted black.Perhaps we should mention this !rag mod under the stickied "The Ultimate LT1-Newbie FAQ"?
Automatic transmissions, rivets and FWD could all disappear if you ask me.
