I saw where the Joints looked smaller, that is what made me think that it would after we were talking about it.

How is the clearance?

Yeah I thought about modifying the one I have but was too lazy. I put in the rag joint eliminator.

there is nothing wrong with the solid ragjoint adapter, great product....
i personally wanted to see if the Lsx shaft could be easily modded to "PROPERLY" fit Ltx cars.. i am extremely satisfied with this mod it's not quite as bulky as the original ragjoint shaft..
the pics above are the shaft installed, i wish i would have taken step by step pics but this is a very easy mod to do

down at the bottom where it mounts to the rack, the big bulky ragjoint is not in the way. it looks less cluttered.

if your shaft hite your hedder you can loosen your column at the floor board where you will find 3 10mm bolts loosen those and shift the bottom of column over a bit.

never knew the rag-joint was such an issue. Although, I do have alot of slop in my steering and am easily pulled into uneven spots in the road... is that caused by this rag-joint or something more major? I have never seen that elminator piece before either. Can anyone explain a little more how it will help?

i lean towards YES,we have quite a few wavy roads here in vegas and the width of our tires tend to chase the grooves in the road a bit of course it is normal. replacing the ragjoint is the way to go weather you use a very nice product from http://www.unbalancedengineering.com/Camaro/Rag_Joint/ or get an 98-02 shaft to do the needed mods (15min.) you will definately feel the difference.

nah that is probably the width of your front tires. the rag joint could also be contributing but the wider tires tend to track more.

I'm used to the wide tires pulling into grooves here and there. Only, I've had the car almost 7 years and, only recently (the last year or so) it seems like its getting worse. Nothing to freak out about YET but, seeing this topic and thinking about it, I just was wondering if that could be this rag joint or am I just feeling the side effects of a worn out steering rack. I have a relatively new PS pump and high pressure line (another story) but everything else is stock with the steering. I'm probably going to pick up one of those elminators. Anyone else have thoughts on the elminator thing? Any problems that you know of with it?

Will this correct my problem? Is this something I can do in my driveway? And, how does it affect my alignment? Thanks!
