With proper maintenance 100k would be feasible... I think. Car is reliable though, I took it back and forth to work a few months ago for a week straight just to stretch its legs some and get it out of the garage.

Proper maintenance would include replacing the valve springs every so often during that 100k period.. ramps on this cam aren't friendly to 'em.

Mine won't ever see that many miles, I'm sure I'll blow it up w/ nitrous before then or I'll get bored of the setup and build something else.

Big ones?

Dunno.. 3580lbs and 120 mph traps behind a Ford 9" and a 4000 stall... gotta be something decent!

Never had this setup on a dyno.. yet.

I don't think throwing a set of prostars and dr's on a car qualifies it as a drag car.

Nice times and glad to see it's running hard. You can definately improve your 60's with suspension tuning. Alot of energy is being wasted when the car twists on launch so if you put a Wolfe adjustable dragbar out back it will leave perfectly straight. My car picked went from 1.52-53 60's on motor to 1.46-48 60' only change was stock swaybar to Wolfe, adjusted by Madman. That was same day my engine was hurt losing oil pressure so it may do alot better when the new 383 goes in next month. Later Clint

Is the bar just as effective with an M6 car?

Indeed, it doesn't matter what kind of tranny. Squatting is just as bad too.

I went with the Spohn Pro series rear sway bar and although I havent been to the track to test it, it feels like it hits much harder on the street than it ever did with the stock style rear bar...And for comparison purposes my car traps 121ish at 3650ish raceweight and put down 375 rwhp on a Mustang dyno through a Vig 3600 and a 12 bolt...

A big part of it comes down to the cars history and if it's been well maintained. Do all the basic maintenance, take care of it and it should run strong for a long time. I'm pushing 70k and I'm hoping all the TLC pays off with a reliable built LE2 motor. If it's been well kept you should get well over a 100K on our cars. I'm sure there are plenty of guys on here still flooring it with 150 plus! Lets hear who's got the highest bolt on/built mileage ride and still running strong

Nice times again Javier. Very impressive for a modestly built HR 355. I'm sure the 4k stall and 4.11's help quite a bit .

My stock shortblock was pulled with 162k on it still running 11's NA. With a basic rebuild it would probably go another 150k+, but I got a whole new stroker shortblock instead to breathe some new life into it. Well maintained LT1s last forever - look at the LT1 service vehicles with 200k+ on them and stock shortblock . Mine didnt even get a cam until 145k .
