Default Occasional misfire in High RPM under load

Been having this High RPM misfire under a load occasionally since I got the car last March...

It seems like I can make it go away sometimes by unpluging the coil Pigtail and plugging it back in.. But im not sure if that is really even doing anything...lol.. Reason I say that is because there is many other wires around there and I was thinkin that there was a short in one of the wires that could be causing my problem...

Also, the vaccum that runs to the opti travels that same path and I seem to be touching that vaccum also, the one with the blue and white valve, could that have anything to do with it?

Update on replaced parts...
Opti has 11k miles
plug wires have 11k miles
plugs have less that 2k
Coil was replaced yesterday(reason for replacing was bc car would not start)

Now let me make this clear also, When I bought the car the opti/plugs/wires were replaced and had NO miles on them. He replaced the waterpump and it started to over heat so I got a good deal on it...
And like I said, its been doin this since I got it!

Sorry for such long post but I gotta get this fixed!

It wouldnt start again this morning.. I think it was my ICM pigtail... I unplugged it and tried to bend the prongs in the pigtail and re-installed it and it started right up!

AND

the sputtering is gone.... FOR NOW.. Ill keep you all updated..

if fuel is getting past your cylinders and backfiring in the exhaust; you just replaced the ignition system, it should eiether be where you expect the problem, or if the pcm fuel curve is not right for your motor, like if it has bigger injectors and no tune, it would let too much fuel in.

well if it overheated and got the opti wet, then sat some, could have corroded up the rotor and cap enough to cause some misfire. but with you unplugging the ICM and it working, your problem could be in there. try spacing the coil away from the head with a couple washers. make sure you put die electric grease behind the icm.

Well, my car is now dying while driving.. done it about 3-4 times now.. EVERY morning it will not start, I have to unplug the ICM pigtail and plug it back in to make it start...

I did a test that "AllDataPro" recommended and I figured out the ICM is BAD... AND its sputtering ALL THE TIME NOW...
Ill keep ya upated..

ALSO!
The first time it died it threw a PO1351... (IDM Input Circuit Malfunction/Ignition Coil Control Circuit Hig Voltage)

Ok, well I picked up a new ICM and it seemed to fix my "NEW" problem but I still have my original "high rpm misfire"....... I thought the mis-firing problem I had last night was just my original problem but just progressed into this more serious problem, Ended up just being a whole new problem!

OK! Back to square one!

New Coil
New ICM
OPTI-11k miles
Plug wires-11k miles
Plugs-2k miles...(roughly)

Like I said, ever since I bought it with a brand new(no milage) opti.. Think it may have a problem now..

you probably have corrosion inside of the opti from the overheat. its a tsb for these cars.

ok.. have a lead... PO1371... after all the test AllDataPro gave us it said to replace the Opti...
I cleaned the minor oil on the Crank Pos Sensor.. cleaned the ground on the body from the coil.. and bent some prongs in the pigtail for the ICM and on the way home it ran better than ever!

But like I said, it comes and goes so this may be one of the times it tricks me...lol.
Very frustrating..

Ok, after I cleaned the minor oil on the Crank Pos Sensor.. cleaned the ground on the body from the coil.. and bent some prongs in the pigtail for the ICM it has continued to run great!

Took it out last night, keepin up with bolt on 6spd LS1 TA and LS2 GTO.. Everything good so far!

AND this morning was the first morning in about a week it started on its own!
