That's what John at Canfield said. I asked if they had any residual documentation on the heads I could purchase or have. "Nope. We don't have anything on them at all. We quit making them 6 or 7 years ago". I asked if they had a .pdf or something since their current site has such things for their current offerings. "Nope". Geez..... He did indicate info about the head gasket cautions and that the studs were deviated from stock LT1 width.

Will do! It may take a month or so to get to them since I have a lot of traveling to do between now and Jan 11th. I'm going to drop them off at a local shop to get the new valve seals and a general inspection while I'm gone.

Thanks, I think I'll get one dyno just before the head swap, then dyno right after, with no other changes, just to see what differences I can see. It's suppose it's probably not that meaningful since environmental differences from different days can affect the results.

Historically, Canfields have worked very well in FI applications. Albeit porting quality.
I used to run a set of them 8 years ago. If you have any questions about them, feel free to drop me a line. I would highly recommend checking the intake port face and intake manifold port face geometry. I had to mill my intake manifold to get it to seal. Also, make sure you use a LT1 intake manifold with them.

I just wanted to make sure that I have to use FelPro 1010's head gaskets, stock Intake and exhaust gaskets, do I have to use special rocker arms, what valve seals.
THanks Jason!

From: LT1 land...the "409" of the 90s!
I want to sat George(Baxter) was there poster child. They worked great and were a great product but much like what you see today the stock heads were performing well and it was hard to justify the cost unless you needed the thick decks

Really? George was running these brand heads when he was running so well? That speaks well of them!!! I was sorry to see George 'get out of the game' and sell his car but I guess he's off to conquer other mountains. He sure made that convertable scream. How's your car? I saw your video where you raced and beat that 'busa. That was sweet! Quite a launch you had there.
