2xr95z28 Just pause the vid when it shows the y. Looks like a x-pipe just dumped right after the x. Pretty simple
Outlawz he does rev it to 7500 in the vid. In AIs post it says stock pcm with purpose built engine management????

That top end alone will run you $5,000-$6,000, then figure in a fuel system tunning lower end, then a drive train to support such hp.

Gentlemen,

To clarify, the engine was initially cammed to make peak power at or below 7,000rpm so as to be useful with a factory PCM. However, Aleks had a FAST classic ecu on the shelf for the turbo build that was in progress at the time & being a tuner himself decided to swap to something purpose built.

I believe once tuned up the fuel economy went back to about what you would expect for something that has more area under the curve than the vast majority of "hot" stroker builds. If I recall correctly, he is around 10-12mpg around town and 16-18 HWY. That is of course with plenty of time spent in the throttle. The little engine revs so quickly that you really need to ride in it to appreciate how snappy it is.

Building an engine to be reliable first and foremost can be relatively expensive regardless of performance. To further complicate matters and ensure you produce power adder performance numbers with a NA package that is still nice and drivable is a tall order. A reliable NA LT1 that'll produce in excess of 500rwhp on pump fuel and have high-end valvetrain, meticulous professional preparation and assembly, as well as being dyno certified is going to start around $14k for something "turn key." If people are really that interested, we can always do a separate thread dedicated to the 500-600rwhp pump gas LT engines.

You should be able to get in contact with Aleks through his user name:

Cannot stress this enough....paying to do it right once is way cheaper than doing it twice without the attention to detail the first time.
