That is Aleks up in Cleveland running the original R&D engine our .357R long-block is based on. If you search you will find threads he has started about the car. At ~3400lb it consistently runs 10.8's at 127-128mph on pump fuel, runs errands, and outruns 600cc sportbikes.

The engine package was designed to appear stock, run pump fuel, provide a very wide powerband for streetability, and peak within the limits of the factory PCM. With a purpose built engine management system however, it is barely down 20hp by 7500rpm. The valvetrain system utilized is application specific, but in his case will retain valvetrain control beyond 8000rpm to provide insurance in the event of an overrev.

Is that car actually streetable though? What kind of MPG's do you get from a set up like that?

I'm still trying to figure out how you are going about revving to 7500 with a stock PCM?????

The engine package was designed to appear stock, run pump fuel, provide a very wide powerband for streetability, and peak within the limits of the factory PCM. With a purpose built engine management system however, it is barely down 20hp by 7500rpm
everything i have read or know about LT1's is that the PCM goes dumb at 7200...... or does it continue to rev and just keep the value in the last cell????? IIRC it goes straight dumdumdumdum..... is it factory intake????

No he is saying that the cam was designed with the stock lt1 rev limiter at 7,000 Rpm. That car was using the stock pcm when that cam was spec'ed out for him. He then switched to a fast efi setup and he can rev it out to what ever he wants now and that it only falls off 20hp by 7500. I think he said he has the limiter set at 8000 or 8500 and he has tagged it a couple times missing a shift. And yes he has there street strip ported stock intake.
