Default msd ignition box

do u guys have a recommendation on a msd box for a 96 lt1? i have longtubes 383 full exhaust but untuned. and also do u guys recommend a mail order tune or not

do you have any plans for a power adder? This will help us pick one with the right options. Is your car an auto or 6 speed?

no power adders all motor and its a m6

THe 6AL will work fine....but I would go with either the Digital 6 or the MAllory 685 as these give you built in timing retard and a 2 step. THe 2 step will be nice as it will give you a consitent launch RPM, and the timing retard is there in case you add nitrous or forced induction in the future.

We off all of them but only have the 685 and Digital 6 on the website....We will price match Summit.

ok sweet how much do they run and how hard are they to hook up? also do u suggest a mail order tune or no

look at the link...it has the 685 and the digital 6 listed.

I prefer a dyno tune but if you don't have anyone in your area you can go the mail-order route.

Not to high-jack your thread but while we are on the subject how is the MSD 2 step activated? I wanted to know because I was wondering if you could use it on an A4 car. Thanks!
