autometer fuel pressure question ????

The second type has an isolator on it. The fuel stays on the outside, and you can mount the gauge itself on the inside of the car.
Or you could go electronic and bypass all that stuff, the sending unit mounts to the fuel rail and wires go to the gauge inside the car.
I run the Autometer digital unit, myself.

You also will want to order these two fittings to install the pressure sending unit.
EAR-998604ERL -4an male to 1/8" female 90 degree
EAR-915104ERL -4an female to -4an female
Good luck, hope this helps.

OK when you get the gauge I don't think this next picture applies to you. I think the sending unit does it all now, I think Autometer redesigned it and I have a old unit.

You will want to double check, but I believe I am correct. Pricier, but looks better than the stack I currently have on my car.

Rear of Fuel Rail
I hope this makes sense, I was never very good at drawing these things.
First, I got a npt t-fitting, 1 female, 2 male. I screwed the female part down to the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. The opposite male end has a cap on it and can be used with my portable fuel pressure gauge to get an under the hood reading. The horizontal male end is connected to my Autometer sending unit. I had to get a gender bender and then a npt-to-An adapter. Since then, I found a couple of one piece adapters which reduce part count by one.
Hope this helps.
