Default LPP LT advise with install

So I got the passenger side header installed and my question is, It sits on the wall and I know some of you guys pounded it in so it didn't rub (which we didn't do) so I'm curious if anyone did the same as myself and have you had any issues with it vibrating or banging against the side under hard acceleration? I really don't see it being a issue as far as it vibrating, just a little concerned with how our cars flex/twist to the right when getting on it and I don't want any damage to be done to the header itself because of this...

Thanks!

The knock sensor will likely pick up false knock if it is making contact

Yeah it's got me a little concerned..I will ask Larry if he has noticed anything by not knocking it out.

The only prob i had with my pacesetters once i got them on was keeping plugwires off them and when i leaned on it the twist from the motor would cram the y pipe into the floor under the drivers seat. Had to flatten it somemore. Now installing the passenger header was a whole different can of worms.

^ had the same problem with my pacesetters. After burning thru 2 sets of stock plug wires (one set installed by a mechanic who didnt take the time to ziptie them out of the way) I went with OTVC plug wires and could not be any happier with how they turned out. Also had the problem with the y pipe/ drivers side header smacking the bottom of the car so I installed poly motor mounts which fixed that problem. I definitely recommend OTVC plug wires and new motor mounts when installing longtube headers.

These headers sit far from the block so my wire burning days should be over A lot different then the Pacesetters...

Look sick on too!

The only time, I can hear mine vibrate is when the motor is cold and idling high and I put it in reverse, otherwise I don't think it touches.

I beat an area the size of a golf ball in on the unibody with the BFH where the #8 primary makes contact.

Before the clearancing, they would just barely touch. Clearly this would be an issue under twist as well as when the rather new motor mounts normally start to wear and things begin to move.

I took no chances on this because I did not want this to result in banging noises, possible broken header flange welds or false knock retard.

I suggest you fix this before it becomes a problem.

I managed to beat the metal in a good 3/8 of an inch or so. Of course this can not be seen since the primary hides the new found dent. I also had to do some grinding on the k-member for the collector to have better clearance too. You can see that in the photo as well.
