Default plugging water pump shaft hole

so i'm puttin a double roller and EWP on and removed the shaft that turns the stock pump so do i need to plug that hole or anything?

No i'm talkin about the hole on the block right where the gear that turned the WP was pressed into.

yes plug it with a freeze plug and RTV it before you tap it in.

The hole in the block can be left alone. There is no reason to plug it. Plug the water pump housing hole.

An easy way is to knock out the factory seal, cut out a piece of thin aluminum to fit the hole, and use the factory seal to hold it in place. I have also used freeze plugs and even glued in a half dollar (in a rush!!).

i drilled and tapped mine for a 1/2 pipe plug.
