Not since yesterday when i got the heads back, i haven't had a chance to work on it at all today, i dunno if i will tonight or not. This weekend i know i'll get hopefully the short block done. i still need to get my timing chain cover filled before i put that and the opti and all that back on then the heads and intake will go back on and it should be good to go besides headers and EWP. Pics will come whenever i get off my *** and work on it lol

So i got the heads on and tried measuring the pushrod length but still need to do it again to check it all out correct. So here are some pics of the heads installed with ARP Headbolts and Mr. Gasket .026 head gaskets...
And here is a pic of the intake painted with the fuel rails set in place...
Lookin good so far, need to get the pushrods measured up correctly then get those from AI then the intake will go on. It's slowly coming together one step at a time, still got about a month til i'll have money for headers anyways.

making some good progress
it's hard to say on the pushrods, but I know for sure they would not be 7.25 since it would be longer then stock ( 7.200 )
We usually end up in the 7.100 area with milled heads and thinner gaskets depending on the rocker arms.

Like Larry said I wouldn't expect it to be longer then stock. You will likely end up going with 7.150 based on the ones I have checked. Maybe 7.100 but probably 7.150. You need to measure and be sure rather than letting anyone tell you what length to get. Deck heights do vary some from block to block and your heads have been shaved, along with the thinner head gaskets.

arent aftermarket cam cores ground with a smaller base circle? meaning that the actually lobe lift isnt bigger than stock, just teh base circle is? if so, a longer pushrod could be needed.

I'm not sure, i know you just want to keep the rocker tip as much in the center of the tip of the valve on a full compression stroke so the rocker is transfering the most lift pushing the valve up and down and not just rolling the tip of the rocker back and forth on the tip of the valve if you understand what i mean. There is so much that comes into play with PR length like decking the block, milling the heads, gasket thickness.

Well i'm getting ready to order a 1LE A/C delete pulley and need the best price on it, can someone help me out?
Pulling all the A/C lines and that fun stuff tomorrow and may to the fuel line relocation mod depending on how i feel. I'm kinda nervous about relocating them. But i hate the way they are stock so i really want to do it just don't want to mess anything up haha. Anyone have pics of the mod? like the hole drilled, and the "loop" of line in the fenderwell?
More pics tomorrow guys!

Actually you do not have to be so worried about centering the roller tip. Look up "miller mid lift". We can't apply it perfectly to the LT1 but it makes a very good argument for why center is not necessarily the critical detail. Nothing terribly wrong with center either.

I'll agree with that statement the day I see all or most aftermarket custom cams for stock displacement motors being ground on a smaller base circle. It's not necessary on a stock or close to stock displacement motor - that's what I should have said.
