Well guys it went 12.54 on motor this go round. The only change from last year is the 26" ET streets instead of the 28s. It went 12.77 last year so .23 from just tires is pretty damn good IMO. Im hoping itll go 10.99 when the bottle goes on this week

Thanks man. It wasnt very busy at all...but man did it run slow as hell. The tech officals were doing a pretty shitty job IMO getting cars down the track. Hopefully itll get better.

When you bringing out the T/A I cant be the only LT1 out there lol.

Can that brace under our cars in the middle by the exhaust pipe be removed for weight reduction? It's black, ribbed, and held on by 4 bolts.

Did you end up cutting all the rear seat brackets and etc... out of the car to get to that weight??

Got my car gutted extreme like. every last bit of the stock harness is gone with just a light "hotrod" harness.... trying to get to 2700...

All the rear seat brackets/arm rests/seat belt mounts and the T-top holder things in the trunk are all cut out. If you have it gutted and the bumpers/door bars and all the creature comforts ditched i dont see why you couldnt get damn close to 2700#

Congrats on the times! Interested to see how you will do with the spray. I picked up a TH350 w 4000 stall and about to put in 4.10s. Be really curious what u run with the spray.

Take off the sun visors, and then remove the plastic panels holding the headliner in. When the headliner is removed you can see all of the bracing there for a t-top car whether your car has them or not. If your car is a hardtop, go to town on it AFTER you get a cage. You can get a lot of weight out of there.

Man, just discovered this thread. Awesome write up and awesome job. I would love to see some more non-spray runs out of this car to see what you can do.
