Yes, LT1 was 300hp and the LT4 was 330hp. The '97 to '04 'Vettes had LS1 or in the Z06 an LS6. The LS1 started out with 345hp and the LS6 was 385hp the first year then went to 405hp and later versions of the LS1 went to 350hp. The neat thing about the LS engines was the fact the block and heads were aluminum. Here is my LS1

^^^Correct. Any Vette that had a 6speed in '96, had an LT4. Those are the only ones though.

By silver with ZR1 wheels, do you mean the Collectors Edition Vette? If so, yes, they had LT4's, but only the 6speeds. Auto's still had LT1's.

Yes the Collector Edition... The name was escaping me. My First LT1 was a 97 way back in 97, I was pretty sure most vettes Auto or M6 had LT1s. Besides the 2 I mentioned???
Hell I could be wrong but thats what I always was told.

i almost owned a few different c4's so i did do my research ahead of time since most dealers are idiots. and I will agree that all 96 6-speed corvettes got the lt4 and so did the grandsports

Not really the question asked but just incase you had ideas to the contrary the LT4 is NOT particularly worthwhile over the LT1, so don't get too hung up on it.

^^^^^^he is right they are not that different and the lt1 is putting out about the same kind of power as the lt4. you could get an lt1 vette and put a little amount of money into it and be better than an lt4 vette. And i think if u find a 96' with lt4 its probably not going to be cheap.
