No-o-o.....When I was putting in a new Opti a few weeks back, I decided to change the water pump, since it's 13 years old, as it was already off. I took the sensor out of the old pump, and as I was installing it in the new pump, the socket slipped......
LT1 coolant temp sensor- gauge (cyl head) (AC-D #213-77) (93-97) = 25037332 (f. 10096151)
Here's a link for it on GM parts direct for $15.12 + shipping. I imagine its cheaper at "vatozone" but in case they're not an an option :

I probably could have avoided breaking it, but my header install was not going to good. So you could say i was being alittle "rough" with things.
Little did i know the drivers side was the easier of the two haha.
I check it almost every day, and at the longest 3 days.Temp Sending Unit is the one in the head, Temp Sensor is the one in the water pump.
