Well I'm setting around at a friends house, somehow my car gets brought up into the subject. Oh an lt1 is the same as any old sbc, i said no it's not, the reply was yes it is lt1 cylinder heads can be put on an 350 an run. I said no it uses reverse flow cooling it wouldn't be worth it to change it. He's like all that is, is a serpentine belt an i wa slooking at him like WTF. Since our water pump isn't even driven by a belt. Then he's like even my 4.3 use reverse flow cooling i said no it does not. Then he goes on to qoute me that our friends mom owns a 99 trans am, which he says its a 350 i correct him say its a 346. Then he goes on about how nothing is exactly wright, nothing is exactly a 350, i said yeah your wright it probably comes down to one ten thousandeth of an inch or less. He's like some will be a 346 or 347 or 345. I look at him with this dumb look, and he's just like what? How do you just get this people to shut the **** up. He even told me that antifreeze runs though my intake, i said you wanna beat, i got a stock intake at home ill beat you 100that it doesn't. Then he's like it has really small holes it runs through. i said lay 100down ill prove it to you

 

your friends a dick. just ignore him and dont talk to him and hell eventually STFU

just realize that most car guys are morons and that is why i can't stand hanging out w/ most of them.

 

dont bother and argue, my friends used to be like that too. all you have to do is put youre hand out for a hand shake and say "how much" if that doesent shut them up (witch it wont the first few times) continue to use the internet to make them youre bitch. after a few time of this thell begin to respect you

Anyway, where's the cell phone video of this?!?! You should get some video of that guy and post it on the net. Maybe start a series using several people that are like that,... where you record their dumb comments lure them into a race ending with a LT1 win.

I used to have some friends like that, we don't really talk anymore...
I also have a mustang guy as a friend and he knows some things, but other things he is completely ignorant of but still acts like he knows it.

Oh and I also had a ricer one time tell me that a 99 Firehawk had "cams" done to it. I tried very hard not to club him.
