Default New Mods on the way

I just ordered my Thunder Racing Performance Pack. Comes with a Magnaflow catback, K&N CAI, and airfoil. When I install all that I'm gonna do a TB bypass and then I'll get it tuned at some point. I also have Nittos read for the next trip down the 1/4 mile.

Sorry for the pointless thread, I'm just excited about new parts

Headers are definitely on the to do list, but I don't have the money to spend at the moment (just spent a bunch finishing up the N2O kit on my 2002 Z28 ). The tuning is next up after these mods, because my speedo is off from the gear swap.

I know everyone is big on LT's, but with emissions around here, and ground clearance issues I'm probably gonna go with shorties. I went with the BBK shorties when I had my 1994 TA a few years back. Those fit great and I saw real nice gains at the track with them. Of course the Mac mids would probably be a good choice too.

I always get excited before bolting on new parts.
Like 9485740397 other people will tell you, don't waste your time and money on shorties. Get LT's! I am about as slammed as you can get, and my Pacesetter LT's still tuck up nicely. Don't get your tune until after you get your LT's on there. Good luck man, have fun with the new addiction.

If it's a mail order tune from Madtuner, it won't be any different with or without LTs... that's straight from Ion.

I would have no problem with the LT's, but I need to have cats, and I've seen too many people around here with problems trying to do LT's with cats on the LT1's. Like I said, I've had experience with shorties and they gained real well for me in the past. This car isn't an all out effort, just a fun cruiser.

Yeah, I was looking into the mids as another option. I'll stay away from AS&M (not even sure if they are around anymore) as they had the worst customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. Mac makes them I believe. I wasn't aware of the pacesetter. I'll look into them for sure.

I haven't seen people have problems running LT's w/ catted y-pipes. The difference between shorties and LT's is pretty substantial.

They never seem to fit right from what I've seen. Maybe I'll have to look into it again, but either way, it's a ways off. I'm just looking for solid 13's from my current batch of mods

The PS LT's fit with ease. The cat's have to be put in the right spots to tuck up nicely, but they do fit.

With sticky tires, you should have no problem's running solid 13's.
