Block differences--different front timing cover, different water pump. Slightly different cooling passages due to reverse cooling. Gear driver water pump, gear assembly in the lifter valley towards the front of the block.
Similarities--they can take the same crank (1-piece rear seal), rods, pistons, oil pump, oil pan, bearings, main caps, lifters.

I'm not going to bring it up unless he says something about it. Your heads will work on any 350 i said, AH NO they won't, dude there's nothing different.

while a sbc (1 piece rear main) crank will physically work in a lt1 dont try it with stock pistons, lt1 pistons, because they are short skirt design the rotating assembly wont be balanced properly without machine work
lt1 uses a dry intake manifold (no coolant crossovers)

You can technically run a SBC cam in an LT1 and vice versa. Just need to make sure you run the proper lifters. AND, a more important bit, the dowel pin in a LT1 cam is longer. So if you put it in a SBC then you'll have to either pound it in some or cut it shorter. If you use a SBC cam in an LT1 you have to put a longer one in it.
LT1s are, as mentioned, internally balanced. LT1, LT4 and L99 are all the same block. LT5 on the other hand is like no other SBC, but there are a few similarities between it and other GM motors. Corvettes have 4bolt mains, LT1s in F/B/D Body motors were 2bolt main. F/Y Body got Aluminum heads and were 350ci, B-Body were cast iron and were EITHER 350ci or 265ci (L99 4.3L V8), and I believe that D Body's were only 350ci but someone confirm that please.
92-93 were Batch Fire Injection LT1s with ECMs, 92 was only in Vettes and 93 was only in F-Body (as I believe 93 Vettes got PCMs then). They also had the 700R4/4L60, but that's not really LT1 info. The 92-93 had slightly different intakes and fuel rails, and you can't swap a 92-93 intake onto a latter year, but you can swap a later year onto a 92-93 If you want to swap the earlier onto the later, you'll need to get the fuel rails too. 93 F's (unsure on Vettes) got 22# injectors. 94-97 had Sequential Fire Injection, PCMs instead of ECMs and 24# injectors. 94+ throttle bodies don't have the Kick-down (detent) cable provisions since the 94+ used the electronic transmission (4L60E). Vettes fuel rails are also (apparently) fed on the opposite side of all the other LTx equipped cars. 95 saw the introduction of OBDII and vented Optis, B-Body cars got the vented in 94 (not sure on Vettes). The vented Opti had a small change in the way it connects to the cam, where as 92-94 had a splined shaft. 95 also saw introduction of the crank sensor. If you want to run a vented opti (whole unit) you'll need to get the timing cover from a motor from those years.
That's about all I can think of.
Here's a good bit of info on the differences of the L99 and LT1
