I meant is the security light flashing when you turn the key?
How did you check the relays?

If I'm not mistaken, there is a starter relay in one of the main fuse boxes under the hood. The security light is supposed to come on for a second and go away when you turn the key. If it flashes once per second when you turn the key, VATS is preventing the car from starting.

x2 with ^ check the relays under the hood and yes if ur security light is on it wont start...usually wont even crank but as for the starter it will never crank if only the negative side is hooked up......

I know when I had a vats problem I just would try to start it, disconnect the battery, and keep retrying until I got it to fire
