I've seen a 400 hp 389 tq ls1 pull the front wheels with a a4 on a 10 bolt rear end so have a little more faith in your 10 bolt. Keep in mind automatics are not as hard on a rear end as a six speed, unless you have a trans brake.
this guy is right. i 1.6 on my 60ft on a STOCK 10 bolt with 4.10s. the trick is to put a SOLID spacer insead of a crush sleeve and instal a hair tighter. LOTS of 10 sec cars on 10 bolts running around.

If your dead hooking already, I dont think suspension is gonna help that much.
Even though you said no I would buy an EWP, pull the belt and air filter it should be real close, and under budget. Or get a pulley and leave the belt. Dont forget a good cooldown and ice the intake before you run.

then just do 3.73's! How about a tb? you can pick up a few hp with a 52!
possibly put the catback on? does the lpp/y have cats? if not you may actually be losing power! Get a REAL tune, go to a reputable tuner and have a good STREET tune, not a mail order one on it! If you are dead hooking than suspension won't help you! Cut some wieght!

I would think so too, but if I'm getting more squat than I should then I could potentially tighten things up out back and gain a slight bit. A 1.7 60' would get me 12s alone.

I forgot to mention the LS1 car I was referring to made an 11.63 pass @ 115.93 mph if that helps restore some of your faith in the 10 bolt LSWHO.

I'm liking the EWP with no belt idea...

I just don't like the EWP on a DD in AZ. Otherwise this would definitely be my route...

I'm just gonna post this link to let you run all the number combination's in your head on this, the calculator isn't dead on in the rpm range, but it's dang close and don't forget your factory tach can sometimes (or always) be deceiving and not read the true amount of rpm's you are turning.

Hope this helps.

4.10s in 26inch tire is plenty of mph to run 12s. pull the belt and air filter, run 18psi in the back tires, 50 psi in the front, keep only 1/4 tank of gas....outcome........12.6-12.7....

I don't have any baking soda, so this puts me overbudget too.

Seriously tho if you get a Meziere HD with a relayed warning system then you'd be even better off than stock for DD'ing.

If you can take a tenth off your 60", you'll be there. So I'm sticking with launch harder, or suspension.

So when my car hits the rev limiter thanks to the stall/nitrous and I blow my motor just to hit 12s which I could do just as easy without the fear of hitting a rev limiter what would I do then? Thank you?

If it's hittin rev limiter I would get it retuned.

And if it blows up, time for a stroker

I'm already planning a 355 build, but I am doing it slowly, not trying to lose a motor just to hit the 12s.
