Default Ever hear of a purple LT1?

I'm just wondering about whether anyone has ever heard of a stock purple LT1 Trans Am. The reason I'm wondering is because I used to own a purple LT1 Trans Am (1995) and I honestly have yet to come across any others on here or anywhere else. Are these rare or something. Car had like 26000 km when I bought it and 50000km when sold. I believe it was a 1le car too. I can't confirm that because back then I had no idea what I had and was new to the fbody world, but it rode like a tank (rough rough rough ride) and cornered like crazy (put my 01 hawk to shame actually-with 245's out back!). Just wondering if anyone on here has one of these cars because i'd love to see one again. Btw. it was not the same purple as the 98 purple metallic at all. It was more of a plum/purple color. I'll see if I can find an old pic of it to post.

Yes i saw one in 2007 at a car show here in Nova Scotia. These are the only pics i have of it though. Not sure if its the stock color, but why the hell would someone paint their car this way.

No it was more of a "plum color" than this. The only car I saw this on before was a v6 firebird. I know it is a stock color, just don't know how many and I'll be damned if I can find it anywhere.

My 96 Z28 was that color, It was the only 6-speed Z28 on the lot back in September of 1996.
They gave me a price I couldnt refuse so I took it
It even had Chrome Salad shooters which was even more weird to me back then .
Anyways my friends all nick named it the Barney Mobile LMAO
I still got a bottle of touch up paint from the dealer for it, The paint code is 05 Dark Purple Metallic..
Everyone always referred to it as Plum colored..

The color shown (and the one available in 95) is Dark Purple Metallic

For 93-94 a color called Purple Pearl Metallic was available, although unless you look at it right, it appears to be graphite.

I knew the colors existed and know people with both, but was able to confirm in about 5 seconds. Google is a useful tool.

There is a dark purple Camaro for sale around here. It's on a little dumpy looking lot, and the car looks whooped.

Well that must be it! I also had the bright chrome tips (two dual outs) and it looked wonderful. I wish I knew what I had back then. Thanks man.

Thanks a bunch folks! I think I now have the code and have verification too. I also had the chrome "rolled edge" tips on back. Thought I was losing my mind because I know it was factory color and yet I couldn't find it anywhere. Was starting to second guess myself and wondered if it was aftermarket but the car was a cream puff and couldn't see that being the case. God I love this site. Thanks again people.
