I would be curious to see what it runs in the 8th. If you don't mind look at you 1/4 mile slip next time you run.

Posted this some time ago right before my clutch blew: here's the 1/8th mile time and a link to my original post.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...-bolt-ons.html

Copy/paste from my old thread:

Launched at 1900rpm, spun a little and bogged but still came out hard. Ran a friends bolt-on LS1 and chased him down near the 1/8. He ran 12.8@110 with the same 60ft.

Best time:
60ft...... 2.0
1/8th.... 8.37@88.5mph
1/4mi.... 12.7@114mph

Yes its an off the shelf cam not the custom grind variant. IIRC that custom grind is used by GTP as I've seen in on ThunderRacing's website.

I have a Dynomax bullet dumped before the axle. It sounds realy nice but Im thinking of going with a 2.5" x-pipe with no mufflers like I had before on mmy TransAm. Still need a couple more things to do before it hits the track but it'll be done in a few weeks.

Got any sound clip of yours?

I suspect this is a photo of your CAI setup:

So, more important than the photo - what's the parts list on this?
And maybe a list of steps required to get it to the finished product?

Yes that's my car LOL!!! I know I've been saying I was gonna make a thread about the parts used for this CAI setup, but today is the day! Since its finally running again I can pull it out of the garage and get some decent pics. I dont have prices or part #s for any of the stuff but Im sure someone can chime in to identify any misc parts not available at Home Depot or any other hardware store.

Just a heads up bro. You posted your lic plate in the vid, then mention coming back from the local street races lol...

You might want to think about that.

All I need to know is what degree bend that tube is for the intake. I'm thinking of switching to something like yours. I like my lid setup, but it's still rubbing a little, despite cutting out the support on the bottom side of the hood.

That seems to be the cam I have in the car but I thought it used Magnum lobes and not the Xtreme Energy like its listed. The car has hardened pushrods, 1.6 ProMags, and a crane dual spring kit. Very basic but I've heards its a reliable setup, IDK!

Don't know if you checked out the thread I posted here on the LT1 section. Here it is. The elbow is 90* but once its actually on the car its going to be a little less because of the flex tubing. PM the Taste_Good about the exact bend since he fabbed up a killer 3.5" Aluminum tubing in place of my crappy Fernco.

No I don't daily drive the car, but it has no problems whatsoever in 5 o'clock traffic. I think its a great cam for a budget build, but Id still prefer custom grind. Everyone gives me the thumbs up, even a H/C/I 5.0 Stang owner loved how it sounded LOL!
