This cam actually has me excited, even if I don't have the cash to upgrade, the fact that it's results are so good even w/o a tune is awesome. @ $300 it's (assuming 60hp gain to be fair) it's $5/hp!! It pretty much takes NOS to match that
Yes it is my license plate. I love it lol. As for the cam,im tempted as well to get 1 for mine. The gains im sure will vary from car to car and the tuner plays a big role. Either way,its quiet, and its cut for the guys who don't want to go crazy.

Seeing as how this cam is cut for stock manifolds, and to also sound like a stocker,id say with ur mods,ur probably better off going with something different. Look at the cc-line of cams or gm cams like the lt4 or the big boys like the 847. Those would be more worth ur money with ur set up in my opinion. To each his own though,if u like it,try it.

All I've got is headers. Based on what I've read, I would never consider the 847.

From your sig, I bet your car sounds sick! Cam it man. What's your hp goals? I would consider a CC503, regardless of the fact that that's what I am running. Or maybe look it Ai's 226/234 cam.

If it's who I am thinking of (identity will stay anonymous) it's a 280XFI... 230/236 .576/.570. And I agree, that cam sounds awesome.

That's not the cam I have. Mine's considerably smaller.

Yep, and you saw my street car out in the rain the other night. Doesn't sound like a race car does it?

so havent been in the LT1 section in quiet some time sorry, but yes i am running the Cadillac Cam and it is a rather steathly cam

low duration, with a high lift for its size. i run right next to my buddy's 2000 SLP Firehawk, and have outran him several times at the 1320, i just got my transmission rebuilt and a new stall so i should have new track times up here soon, with a 2.2 60' i have ran a best of 13.3 which isn't the best time, but i also have a very hard time getting any traction at all. and i am running Nitto NT555R's. I would def reccomend the cam for a mild build, and in the future i plan on some LE or AI heads to go with it
and i love being able to say its a just a 'baby cam' and leave bolt-on LS owners in my wake.

^ and to add the Firehawk is full-bolt on's and so was i.

Also that 13.3 was with a badly slipping trans. holding for nearly a full second between shifts. so with some low 60' times and the rebuilt trans i'm hoping for some high to mid 12's.

February 21st if our local AZF-body meet out at speedworld drag strip and i will be running the car then

the car now has a rebuilt tranny with stage 2 shift kit, and 3200rpm edge stall converter. it bangs the gears and i've actually pulled in the Firehawk now even from a roll and he's got a 6-speed with 3.42's and ive only got 3.23's

but i will also be stepping up to a 52MM throttle body and a DMH electric cut-out hopefully before the 21st.

ohh and that 13.3 was running thru the most restrictive aftermarket muffler you can buy. . . chokemaster 80 series. . . but its quiet thats for sure

if you listen real close and are familiar with LT1's then you might know it had a cam, but most would just assume its the long tubes and catless exhaust system. like i'd say 80% of people dont know its cammed. only the more experienced 20% know that it has a little baby guy in it. i mean the duration numbers are tiny.

Oh ok. My buddy is running basicly stock exhaust with exception of a hooker cat back. Should be able to pull it off.

ohh yea, when i had the stock manifolds on it sounded 95% stock man, **** the intake was louder at that point than the exhaust.

but just to add, this cam is a low - mid range monster.

and with a little sneaker like 75 shot or so it'd help the top end and would make a nice 'stock' sleeper

I don't know jack about cams? What does duration mean? Is that how long the valve would stay open? I'm assuming lift means how far the valve opens?
