A 383 is not goin to cost much more than a 355, especially if you go with ported stock top end. I priced it out before I went with my setup. It was a couple hundred difference. The 383 will have a better tq curven than the 355, wich will make for better street setup imo. The 355 will make the same power as the 383, just needs more rpm to do it. This is why I opted for the 383, I like the stump pulling tq at lower rpms.

Is 400 a reachable goal with my current mods? Not wanting to buy new heads. I am willing to get these ported tho.
Finally a realistic goal. Seems like everyone wants 1000HP out of a set of stock ported heads . 400 seems to be reachable, my car: 383ci, callies crank, mahle pistons, compstar rods, 1 3/4 stainless works LT headers, 4" single mufflex through a t56 and a 12 bold moser in a 3rd gen. 250 shot of N20 on tap too. Did 449rwhp with an E85 tune, kinda took it easy on it and never sprayed it
