You can pick up 40+ rwhp with the free stuff and bolt-ons, then get a cam.

Also do you have emissions/smog testing to pass? Is the car a A4 or M6?

Like everyone else said, need more info! sounds like you want to go n/a so bolt-ons intake, exhaust ect... than move on to head and cam. Don't forget to get support though! Clutch flywheel, new rear end and all that.

Theres not much you can do for free that will gain you anything noticable, maybe a T-body bypass.
Buy a cold air kit and headers ory,1.6 Roller rockers, cut out Electric water pump maybe a pulley then have it tuned. Most the other stuff is gonna cost you some good money unless you do the work yourself.

If you're looking for more umph out of the hole, while it won't increase your RWHP, a set of 4.10s mated to your T56 will really wake up the car.

why does everyone think 4.10s are the greatest? i mean if your using your car for just street/strip setting. but this kid/guy/girl/alien could have a daily driver to and from school and your gonna throw 4.10s in it and have shitty gas mileage. with stock 3.42 my car sucked out of the hole but got great gas. 4.10s were the opposite launched hard but shitty mileage. now i would suggest 3.73 you get the good launch (bearing you can launch your car) and you still will get good MPG. basically nothing on these cars are cheap. to be perfectly honest if you want a nice mod. 2500 (i know its not cheap) build a mild 383 and that will hold you good for a while. thats if you can get the money and afford to have your car down for a week or two. but what you do to your car varies on ALOT of things. Daily driver? Race car? Budget? Ability to work on it? Ability to handle the power it puts down. all this you must take into consideration. hell im 20 so you know where my mind is but i would worry about your suspn. and brakes to make sure you can get your *** out of trouble instead of throwing power to a car that suspn. wise cant handle it. good luck with whatever you do. sorry i kinda rambled on!

I will keep the coolant out of the t-body so it doesnt heat up the incoming air. Follow the list I left for starters.

His car is a M6 he will be fine. In my last M6 I did 3.73s and to me it was a waste of money and always wanted 4.10s, This car I put in 4.10 and its 10x better. You actually notice it!lol! Hell Im 30 and have been down this road more than once or twice.lol

First of all, do a lot of reading. Just search the forums and read and learn. It's going to take time to understand all of the things you need to understand but the best advice I can give is to research COMBINATIONS. Don't just throw go-fast parts at the car and expect to get the advertised gains...everything must work together. Intake/Exhaust/Tune/Gears are a good place to start.

Second of all, I really don't understand the argument with gas mileage when people are talking about going fast. If your concern with owning a V8 muscle car is getting good gas mileage then get out of these type of threads, plug in your CAGS and of the fast lane.
