Default 30# Fuel Injector Install...

Ok, I have 30# ford fuel injectors I want to install on my SS Camaro...I can not conduct a tune on it until after I get my cam installed...would it be ok to go ahead and install those injectors now, or wait till I can tune it???

because you have to take off the fuel rail, to take off the intake, to take out the lifters, to take out the cam

car will run like a pig with bigger injectors and a stock tune

Don't run that car without tuning for them if you do install them. You will severly wash your cylinders with gas cause you will flood the motor with gas. Trust me I've done it before and changed oil with gas in it. Just wait until you have it all apart for the cam swap and then throw them in there when you are putting it all back together and make sure you have a tune before you fire it up. Just my opinion.

you dont have to take off the fuel rail to take the intake manifold off

but i do agree on waiting until you get the cam in and then just get it all tuned at once. all your going to do is make it run like crap and burn more gas if you do them now.

Yeah I was gonna say you dont have to the fuel rail off to take the intake off but Badass beat me to it. I would wait till tune to swap injectors, very easy to do.

I actually made this mistake and drove the car untuned. I was lucky to not do any damage. Good advice.
